Ian Holland
Ian Holland grew up on Sydney's Northern Beaches. In 1970 Ian began his career as an announcer & copywriter with 2VM Moree, later moving to 2DU Dubbo, then 7LA Launceston prior to his first metro job at The Greater 3UZ Melbourne.
In 1972 Ian moved to 2UE where he hosted Nights. Later he presented the Drive program and was appointed Music Director. In 1977 he moved to AWA Sydney and set up AWA Program Services.
Ian hosted the Australian Top 40 for three years on more than 50 radio stations Australia wide before becoming the Program Director of 2CH and Network Program Director for AWA plus 5AA Adelaide.
2CH became Sydney's number one station during this time, for the first time in its history.
In the early eighties, Ian was approached by 2GB to work on the development of the highly successful News Talk format. Since then Ian has shared his talents across the nation at 2GB, 2WS, 4GR, 4KQ and 2SM.
In 1997 Ian, who is a qualified commercial pilot, set up his own business Trans National Air, operating charter flights throughout Australia and traffic reports from the air for radio stations in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong.
